Inpatient Hospital Care

When you need to be admitted, North Ottawa Community Hospital strives to provide you with the best care while you stay with us. Our doctors, nursing staff, therapists and others work together with you, your family and with each other to offer a continuum of care, giving patients the ability to return home and to their daily activities, as quickly as possible.

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at North Ottawa Community Hospital offers high quality care to acutely ill patients. Equipped with advanced monitoring, the ICU at North Ottawa provides one on one personalized care for each patient and offers comfort for their families. All ICU professionals are trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

North Ottawa Community Hospital uses Hospitalists to oversee the care of patients in the Intensive Care Unit and in the hospital's general inpatient area (our Medical/Surgical Department). A Hospitalist is a licensed and board certified physician on the medical staff who specializes in providing care to hospitalized patients.
