What is bereavement?
Bereavement is the immeasurable period of time following the death of someone close. It is characterized by a unique mix of feelings, reactions and struggles that we call grief, and is experienced by young and old alike.
Hospice of North Ottawa Community’s Bereavement Services are open to anyone in the community who has lost someone close – even if the loved one was never under Hospice care. In addition to the counseling and professional services included in this brochure, short-term groups may also be offered on specific topics.
All Bereavement Services are offered at no cost.
We offer grief support for those who have experienced a loss and grief resources for community organizations.
