Understanding Grief

 Understanding Grief is a ten-week informational series open to anyone who has experienced a death-related loss. The focus of this series is to learn and understand the grief process to promote healing by allowing the bereaved to explore how they think and feel after the death of a loved one.
There is no charge to attend the series, however pre-registration is required, as the class is limited. Each registrant will be given a book to follow. Active participation is appreciated.
The Spring series begins Thursday, March 5, 2020, and will meet 2:00 to 3:30 PM every Thursday for ten weeks. Please contact the Bereavement Department of Hospice of North Ottawa Community at 616-846-2015, or email jterhaar@noch.org.

Healing Through Friendships Grief Support Group

4 Pointes Center for Successful Aging, 1051 S. Beacon Blvd., Grand Haven 10:00 AM

 Have you been touched by the death of someone you love? Attending a group is one of the most effective ways in helping you cope with your loss. Our group will meet at 4 Pointes Center for Successful Aging on the first Tuesday of the month from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, and on the third Tuesday of the month from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, in Classroom A.

Life After Loss Grief Support Group

April 6
United Methodist Church of the Dunes, 717 Sheldon Rd., Grand Haven 1:00 PM

 Life After Loss is an ongoing grief support group open to anyone in the community dealing with a death-related loss. The group is offered every first Monday of the month, 1:00 to 2:00 PM, and the third Thursday, 6:30 – 7:30 PM. Participants receive emotional support as well as educational resources that explore the many aspects of dealing with grief. No fee is charged.
