About Our Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
The EMS Department at North Ottawa Community Hospital is staffed by state licensed Paramedics. Their training and expertise .. as well as the sophisticated equipment on board each ambulance ... enable them to provide our community with Advanced Life Support (ALS) services. Our Paramedics can maintain direct radio communication with Emergency Room Physicians. Critical monitoring and treatment of a patient can begin as quickly as possible. The EMS Department works closely with community Police and Fire Departments and is affiliated with area emergency Helicopter Services.
